Job summary

HireHawk Inc. is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a long-term remote engagement, supporting the finance team with data entry, invoicing, and records management.

You will enter transactions, process invoices, and help with reconciliations while communicating with US teammates in English and Mexican stakeholders in Spanish. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and process discipline in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as accounting assistant or data entry role.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Familiarity with AP/AR processes.
• Basic accounting principles understanding.
• Intermediate Excel skills and data organization.
• Strong organizational skills for large data volumes.
• Experience supporting a US-based accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Enter AP/AR transactions accurately into the accounting system.
• Process invoices, vendor bills, customer payments, and credit memos.
• Assist with invoice matching and documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic records and filing systems.
• Update spreadsheets and reconcile listings with docs.
• Assist with basic bank reconciliations and supporting data.
• Review transactions for completeness and flags issues.
• Support month-end activities with schedules and docs.
• Communicate with US team in English and Mexican stakeholders in Spanish.
• Follow accounting procedures within the remote desktop environment.
• Perform other data-entry and admin tasks for the finance team.
