HireHawk is seeking an Accounting Assistant for a fully remote, long-term contractor role supporting a U.S.-based finance team. You will perform data entry, process accounts payable and receivable, and help maintain accurate financial records. The role requires precision, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to communicate with U.S.

teammates in English and Mexican stakeholders in Spanish. Primary duties include processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end

Formación

• 2–5 years of experience as accounting assistant or similar role.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Intermediate Excel skills (sorting, filtering, formulas).
• Experience supporting a U.S.-based finance team.

Responsabilidades

• Enter Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately into the system.
• Process invoices, vendor bills, customer payments, and credit memos.
• Assist with invoice matching and supporting documentation.
• Maintain organized electronic accounting records and filing systems.
• Update spreadsheets and reconcile listings with documents.
• Assist with basic bank reconciliations and supporting information.
• Review transactions for completeness and flag issues.
• Support month-end activities with schedules and docs.
