Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automated and manual testing for desktop and mobile applications. You will build and maintain robust test suites, integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, and drive quality with proactive investigation of failures and flaky tests.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing across Electron/React Native apps, with a focus on AI-assisted QA tools and rapid, reliable release cycles in a global remote environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
