Job summary

meetalleyoop.com is seeking a Director of Accounting to drive financial strategy and operations as the company scales in the cosmetics sector. You will report to the CEO/COO and oversee planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, tax, regulatory compliance, and risk management for a fast-growing, omni-channel business.

The role demands leadership across departments, strategic decision-making, and development of a high-performing accounting team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior accounting or financial leadership role.
• Deep experience in e-commerce for a consumer goods/CPG business, omni-channel operations.
• Strong to advanced understanding of accounting for a consumer goods business, including inventory accounting.
• Experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience preparing financial reporting for lenders and investors, and supporting debt/equity financing processes.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state sales tax compliance and corporate compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy in alignment with objectives.
• Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Provide strategic recommendations to CEO and senior management based on analysis.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations and department.
• Ensure timely financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly).
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and performance; implement internal controls.
• Evaluate debt financing options and manage lender relations.
• Prepare and deliver regular reporting to lenders and investors.
• Own multi-state sales tax compliance across all states and corporate compliance.
• Collaborate with executives to drive company-wide initiatives and expansion.
