Job summary

Motum is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to support a global leader in book sales. The role focuses on accounts payable and receivable, vendor and client requests, and maintaining day-to-day accounting processes in a fully remote, performance-driven environment.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently across multiple time zones. English proficiency (C1/C2) is required, and the position offers long-term remote collaboration with US-based clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounts payable/receivable experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, results-driven environment.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1/C2).
• Experience with Salesforce or BigCommerce is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and record AP/AR transactions and vendor bills.
• Resolve pricing discrepancies and vendor duplicates/returns.
• Maintain records in Salesforce, BigCommerce, and Odoo.
• Schedule payments and ensure timely disbursements.
• Prepare invoices and reconcile incoming payments.
• Research payment discrepancies and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Handle client and vendor requests and communications.
• Support additional administrative and reporting tasks.
