Jetpacks! is looking for a Data Engineer to own the architecture and execution of our core data platform in LatAm. You will model, ingest, and orchestrate data while guiding the team on technical direction and quality.

• 8+ years of data engineering experience at staff/principal level.
• Deep hands-on expertise in BigQuery or equivalent cloud warehouse and SQL-based transformation tooling (Dataform or dbt).
• Strong Python skills for pipeline and tooling work (FastAPI/Flask or equivalents).
• Experience designing standardized or normalized data models from heterogeneous sources.
• Practical experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow/Composer) at production scale.
• Track record of data trust, testing, monitoring, and incident response for data issues.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field; Advanced English.

Responsabilidades

• Design and normalize data models across MongoDB, Postgres, Firestore and partner systems into trusted schemas for pricing, finance, and operations.
• Own core BigQuery and Dataform pipelines, including schema design, incremental modeling, testing, and documentation.
• Build and operate ingestion into the warehouse using Datastream, Cloud Functions, and custom connectors.
• Set technical direction for orchestration (Airflow/Composer), including job design, dependencies, and cost/performance tradeoffs.
• Drive data integrity via anomaly detection, quality monitoring, and root-cause analysis.
• Build internal Python tools (FastAPI/Flask; occasional React) to automate operational workflows.
• Apply AI/LLM tooling to automate repetitive workflows without fragile systems.
• Partner with Analytics Engineering and BI to ensure models support reporting and forecasting.
• Review designs and code from peers and raise the technical bar without over-bureaucratizing.
• Make build-vs-buy decisions with profitability and maintainability in mind.
