AgileEngine is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, requirements workshops, and scalable reporting governance.

The ideal candidate will bring 4+ years of business analysis experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to translate complex needs into actionable requirements and a prioritized reporting

Qualifications

• Strong business analysis and requirements-management experience of at least 4 years.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into structured business and functional requirements.
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating requirements workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing an existing reporting or analytics portfolio.
• Experience developing process maps, documentation, inventories and roadmaps.
• Strong analytical skills to identify gaps, duplication, and opportunities for simplification.
• Ability to work across business, technology, data and risk stakeholders with clear communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to drive requirements through ambiguity and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reports, dashboards, metrics and related artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business need and use cases.
• Assess relevance, duplication, usability, consistency and business value of reporting.
• Identify reporting gaps and reports that no longer serve a purpose.
• Recommend retaining, enhancing, consolidating, replacing or decommissioning reports.
• Identify stakeholder groups and personas that consume or produce reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to capture objectives and outcomes.
• Translate stakeholder needs into defined business and functional requirements.
• Reconcile competing requirements and establish a consolidated reporting view.
• Maintain traceability from needs to reports and outcomes.
• Develop target-state reporting portfolio based on findings and requirements.
• Define reports to address unmet needs and which to decommission or retain.
• Prioritize requirements by value, risk and feasibility; build a sequencing roadmap.
• Establish ownership, governance and standards for reports and metadata.
