Political Asylum Lawyers in the United States seeks an Accounting & Finance Manager (Hands-on) to lead financial operations, reporting, and controls. The role focuses on accurate records, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance, with a strong emphasis on trust accounting and process improvements across pricing and collections.

You’ll work closely with leadership to guide profitability and strategic planning, while managing staff and coordinating with external providers in a remote-capable setup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
• Strong understanding of general accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, A/R, A/P, payroll.
• Experience with trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations and document procedures.
• Ensure accurate accounting, billing, A/R, A/P, payroll and general ledger.
• Maintain clean financial records in the accounting system.
• Provide monthly financial statements and variance analysis.
• Oversee trust accounting compliance and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Lead finance team and liaise with external vendors.
