Job summary

Political Asylum Lawyers seeks an Accounting & Finance Manager to lead the firm’s financial operations, accounting systems, billing, and payroll oversight. This hands-on role focuses on establishing reliable financial operations, with room to grow into planning and reporting responsibilities.

You will work with the Owner/CFO to manage budgeting, profitability, cash management, and strategic planning, while ensuring compliance and clear financial communication across leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/MBA preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, A/R, A/P, payroll.
• Experience with trust/IOLTA accounting and reconciliations.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and budget forecasts; monitor cash flow.
• Own billing, collections, Accounts Receivable, and trust accounting processes.
• Maintain strong internal controls and coordinate with external auditors.
