Job summary

Spartan Investment Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations across the organization. You will advise managers on employee relations, administer performance processes, and help ensure policy compliance.

The role requires handling investigations, visa coordination, and changes in organizational structure while maintaining confidentiality and integrity in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor’s degree and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience with employee relations, performance management, and lifecycle processes.
• 2–3 years of HR Generalist experience supporting day-to-day HR operations.
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, local laws, and Puerto Rico employment laws.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers to address employee relations matters and guide on policies and procedures.
• Conduct investigations and coordinate with legal counsel for compliant resolutions.
• Support visa and immigration processes with external counsel.
• Manage performance management and organizational changes across the lifecycle.
• Review and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to stay compliant.
• Monitor wage requirements and paid sick leave compliance.
