Job summary

Spartan Investment Group is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to support employees and managers across the United States and Puerto Rico. You will handle employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and policy updates while ensuring regulatory compliance and confidentiality.

The role requires 5–7 years of HR experience, including employee relations, and strong English communication. A remote-friendly environment with proactive training and process improvements is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience including employee relations and performance management.
• 2-3 years as HR Generalist partnering with employees and managers.
• Working knowledge of US federal, state, local laws and Puerto Rico employment law.

Responsibilities

• Address employee relations matters with guidance on policies and performance improvements.
• Conduct employment investigations and coordinate with legal counsel as needed.
• Assist employees requiring employer-sponsored visas with external counsel coordination.
• Manage core lifecycle processes including performance management and organizational changes.
• Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures for compliance.
• Develop and deliver trainings on leadership, policies, and compliance topics.
• Evaluate HR processes for efficiency and scalable improvements.
• Support a positive, inclusive work environment and handle confidential information with integrity.
