Baker Hughes in Argentina seeks a Commercial Lead for Directional Drilling Services to drive the commercial strategy in the Vaca Muerta basin, engaging with operators and coordinating with operations and engineering to deliver high-value solutions.

You will manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting to contract negotiation—while building relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, and Pluspetrol, and ensuring service quality and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD, or BHA optimization.
• Strong wellbore data interpretation and drilling KPI knowledge.
• Experience with operators in Vaca Muerta or similar shale basins.
• Proven ability to manage technical sales cycles and influence procurement stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for Directional Drilling in the Vaca Muerta basin.
• Manage full sales cycle: prospecting, scoping, pricing, proposals, and contract negotiation.
• Build and maintain relationships with operators such as YPF, Vista, Tecpetrol, Pampa, Pluspetrol, and Capex.
• Deliver technical presentations and post-well analyses to demonstrate service value and differentiation.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product lines to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across bits, fluids, motors, MWD/LWD, and RSS.
• Support tender submissions, commercial models, and contract renewals to secure long-term business.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and customer intelligence within CRM systems.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE requirements and company standards across all commercial activities.
