Job summary

AgileEngine in Córdoba, Argentina is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will lead the technical transition into managed services, define IaC standards, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, observability, and incident response across AWS, EKS, Argo, Snowflake, and data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS production environments, cloud architecture, security, networking, access management, monitoring, capacity and troubleshooting.
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS including workload deployment, troubleshooting, observability, scaling, upgrades, access and reliability.
• Hands-on experience operating Argo Workflows or comparable orchestration for production data workloads.
• Strong Infra​structure as Code experience, preferably Terraform, plus source-controlled configuration, CI/CD, release automation and rollback practices.
• Experience designing and operating observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident routing for distributed production platforms.
• Ability to lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting across infrastructure, applications, data pipelines, and analytics layers.
• Experience operating production platforms with SLAs, runbooks, change controls, release processes and on-call responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms including Snowflake, S3 data lakes, SQL, dbt, and ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR.
• Proficiency in Python, Shell, Bash for automation and tooling.
• Excellent stakeholder management and English communication skills.
• Availability to work within LatAm window (~9:00 AM–6:00 PM ET) and participate in senior escalation/on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo Workflows, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and Tableau dependencies.
• Lead the technical transition into managed services, including platform discovery, risk identification and readiness validation.
• Establish cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD and release practices, observability patterns and operational controls.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS operations, Argo Workflows, deployment automation and access management.
• Translate business and security needs into concrete technical requirements and backlogs.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, ingestion, S3 data-lake operations and analytics dependencies.
• Lead complex cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation across infra, ingestion, orchestration, Snowflake and Tableau.
• Direct technical response during major incidents with impact assessment, recovery strategy and post-incident reviews.
• Ensure changes/releases include technical review, dependency analysis, rollback planning and traceability.
• Define and monitor reliability indicators like availability, data freshness, deployment outcomes and incident patterns.
• Drive improvements in automation, observability, auto-remediation, and platform resilience.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT to ensure least-privilege, auditability and proper handling of regulated data.
