Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to own the reliability and orchestration of an enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. The role requires deep AWS/Kubernetes experience, Argo Workflows, IaC with Terraform, and strong leadership across distributed teams.

You will drive platform engineering across Snowflake, S3, dbt, and data pipelines, mentor engineers, and ensure robust incident management and release processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Cloud/Platform/DevOps or SRE.
• Strong AWS production environment expertise.
• Advanced Kubernetes / EKS experience.
• Hands-on Argo Workflows experience.
• IaC and Terraform proficiency.
• Observability, logging, monitoring and incident management experience.
• Lead major incidents and cross-functional troubleshooting.
• Runbooks, change controls, and on-call experience.
• Data platform tech: Snowflake, S3, SQL, dbt.
• Python/Shell automation skills.
• Strong communication and English.
• Availability for LatAm ET hours.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and end-to-end reliability of the managed Data Platform across AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, Argo, Snowflake, S3, Fivetran and Tableau.
• Lead transitions into managed services, including discovery, risk mapping, and knowledge transfer.
• Define cloud architecture principles, IaC standards, CI/CD and release practices.
• Provide technical leadership for AWS, Kubernetes, Argo, deployment automation, access management, capacity, and reliability.
• Translate needs into actionable technical requirements and a prioritized backlog.
• Guide cross-platform decisions involving Snowflake, dbt, and data pipelines.
• Lead complex cross-platform troubleshooting and L3 escalation during incidents.
• Direct technical response during major incidents with post-incident reviews.
• Ensure changes/releases include reviews, validation, rollback planning, traceability.
• Define and monitor reliability metrics and incident patterns.
• Improve automation, observability, and platform resilience.
• Collaborate with Security, Governance, Analytics, IT for least-privilege access.
• Review designs and ensure secure, scalable solutions within managed services.
• Mentor engineers and improve team practices across distributed teams.
• Maintain alignment of LatAm and India coverage with clear handoffs.
• Participate in senior escalation and on-call model.
