Job summary

Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own automation for desktop and mobile apps, while also performing manual testing. You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable, fast test runs across platforms, including Electron/React Native apps, on real devices.

Qualified applicants have 4+ years in QA automation, experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and usage of AI tools in QA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
