Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile test automation, ensure high-quality product releases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across our global remote environment.

We value hands-on experience in Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and testing Electron/React Native apps, including real devices. This role emphasizes AI-assisted QA and rigorous test strategies to sustain scalable software quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software quality assurance and QA automation.
• Hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on with Playwright and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and React Native apps, incl. iOS/Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critiquing their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing.
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
