Obvio is hiring its first in-house Accounting Manager to take ownership from an outsourced firm and build the finance function for a hardware-enabled-services company. You will stand up systems, controls, and processes, manage close cycles, and provide trusted reporting to leadership.

You will implement Campfire as the system of record, oversee revenue recognition for municipal contracts, and partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to optimize unit economics across a growing footprint.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years accounting experience in a manager/senior/Controller-track role.
• Direct experience transitioning outsourced to in-house accounting.
• Hands‑on ERP/accounting system implementation experience.
• Full-cycle month‑end close ownership from journal entries to financial statements.
• Experience in a hardware, hardware-enabled-services, or multi-site business is a plus.
• CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own the transition from outsourced to in-house accounting and rebuild vendor relationships.
• Run month-end and year-end close with tight calendar management.
• Lead Campfire implementation as the system of record and design COA.
• Manage revenue recognition for municipal contracts and complex structures.
• Own AP, AR, and payroll processing, with vendor payments and payroll administration.
• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements for boards and investors.
• Build internal controls and audit-ready documentation.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, and Operations to track unit economics and terms.
• Handle sales/use tax and multi‑jurisdiction compliance.
