Mechanical Engineer
Job summary
A leading organization in Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical scope of work, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems for large-scale construction projects. The role involves site management, compliance with safety standards, and coordination with various stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and significant experience in MEP works, along with strong knowledge of relevant standards and excellent coordination skills.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years UAE/GCC experience in MEP works for large-scale construction.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting system design.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical scope including HVAC plumbing and firefighting systems.
- Oversee site compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
- Conduct testing and commissioning for mechanical systems.
Skills

Conduct testing and commissioning activities for mechanical systems.
Attend progress and coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
Maintain and submit site reports daily logs and QA/QC documentation.
Ensure compliance with local authority approvals (e.g. DEWA Civil Defence DM).
Requirements
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4 6 years of UAE/GCC experience in MEP works for largescale construction.
Indepth knowledge of HVAC plumbing and firefighting system design & .
Familiarity with ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA standards.
Strong coordination and reporting skills.
Experience in handling DEWA DCD and consultant inspections.
