A reputable construction company in Sharjah is seeking a skilled Planning Engineer to play a pivotal role in project planning and delivery. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of UAE experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to join our construction team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software
- Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) and define logical relationships among tasks
- Identify project milestones, deliverables and key deadlines
- Monitor project timelines and actual progress against baseline schedules
- Conduct critical path analysis (CPA) and recommend corrective actions for delays
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports
- Plan and optimize the allocation of resources (labor, materials and equipment)
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability
- Assist in budgeting and cost tracking in collaboration with the cost control team
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to UAE construction regulations safety guidelines and company policies
- Support contract and claim management processes
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors and consultants
- Attend coordination meetings and provide planning inputs to all stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation related to planning, scheduling and progress tracking
- Conduct feasibility studies and support the preparation of cost estimates
- Contribute to the organization’s continuous improvement and quality enhancement initiatives
- Promote a culture of safety accountability and performance excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in construction planning
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
- Solid knowledge of project life cycles, construction methodologies and UAE regulations
- Strong communication, coordination and analytical skills
