Job summary

A global engineering firm in Dubai is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager responsible for developing and implementing quality controls, training, and inspections. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or Civil Engineering, has over eight years of experience, and is proficient in English. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Overall responsible for the development and implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Controls as well as ensuring that the site operates in accordance with applicable statutory & regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct Quality training at all levels on site and head office.
  • Conduct regular Quality inspections and recommend corrective actions. Liaise with the respective Authorities on matters related to QA & QC issues.
  • Prepare Quality reports (such as RFI, ITP, MAR, etc) for projects and submit to Client for review.
  • Update & control the distribution of QMS documentation.
  • Solve Client complaints related to Quality.
  • Review project Quality appraisal reports and initiate actions to resolve Quality related issues.
  • Chair Quality meetings with relevant staff to identify problems relating to the construction processes and QMS and initiate, recommend and provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Expedite the timely preparation and issue of Inspection & Testing Plans.
  • Carry out vendor inspections as required and prepare Source Inspection Reports.
  • Conduct physical assessments of the quality of the works and prepare monthly Quality Appraisal Reports.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Quality Management or Civil Engineering. aged 45 and below is preferred.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of professional Quality Management.
  • Familiarity with international Quality Management, especially adopted in projects in Middle East countries.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English. Should build a good relationship with Client.
