Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Wet Utilities Inspector to join its Abu Dhabi team, supporting the inspection of drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks. You will monitor site activities, verify conformance with drawings and specs, and maintain inspection records through construction and testing phases.

The role involves coordinating with the Resident Engineer, contractors, surveyors, and other inspectors to ensure quality and compliance for handover tolerance and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience inspecting wet utilities works on infrastructure construction projects.
• Experience inspecting pipe-laying, manholes, testing, backfilling and compaction.
• Familiarity with stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of material approvals, inspection procedures, and construction quality control.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wet utilities drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks on site.
• Monitor pipeline installation and verify compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Inspect manholes, catch basins, gullies, chambers, valves, fittings, and associated structures.
• Check pipeline bedding, backfilling, compaction, and jointing.
• Witness pressure testing, leakage testing, and CCTV inspections.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate site records.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineer, contractors and surveyors on inspection findings and corrective actions.
