Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Civil Inspector – Wet Utilities to support Abu Dhabi infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in wet utilities and stormwater works, with strong site inspection and coordination skills.

The role requires reviewing drawings and specs, ensuring work aligns with ITPs, and collaborating with engineers and contractors on quality and progress. On-site work in Abu Dhabi is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil Engineering with focus on infrastructure works.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Experience inspecting pipelines, manholes, drainage structures and related works.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, method statements and ITPs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor wet utility construction works (stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation).
• Conduct daily site inspections ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, method statements and ITPs.
• Inspect installation of stormwater pipelines, manholes, catch basins and drainage structures.
• Review IRs from Contractor and ensure works are ready for inspection.
• Monitor materials quality, workmanship, installation, bedding, backfilling and compaction.
• Witness testing activities (pressure, leakage, CCTV) and verify line and invert levels.
