Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Civil Inspector - Wet Utilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will inspect stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation works, verify pipelines, drainage structures, and testing, and support the Engineer with progress and quality oversight.

This full-time, on-site role requires Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and strong knowledge of wet utility networks, ITPs, and inspection procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction.
• Strong experience in stormwater works.
• Good knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Experience inspecting pipelines, manholes, drainage structures, and associated infrastructure works.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and inspection procedures.
• Experience working with Contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated wet utility construction works.
• Conduct daily site inspections to confirm compliance with drawings, specs, ITPs, and project requirements.
• Inspect pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, and drainage structures.
• Review and verify Inspection Requests and confirm readiness for inspection.
• Monitor materials, workmanship, bedding, backfilling, compaction, and protection of wet utilities networks.
• Witness and inspect pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV, and other tests.
• Verify line, level, alignment, slopes, and invert levels.
• Ensure construction aligns with shop drawings and project specs.
• Identify defects and coordinate corrective actions with Engineer and Contractor.
• Coordinate with surveyors to verify setting out and levels.
