Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer - Wet Utilities for Abu Dhabi, UAE, to supervise and deliver wet utility works including stormwater, sewerage and potable water networks. The role encompasses construction supervision, technical reviews, inspections, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on-site.

Candidate will ensure compliance with drawings, specs and ITPs, while maintaining quality, safety and progress across major infrastructure projects in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in infrastructure and wet utilities construction.
• Good knowledge of stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Experience in construction supervision, inspection, and quality control, and contractor coordination.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects; UAE experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities within a multidisciplinary project team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor construction of wet utility networks (stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation).
• Oversee pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, culverts, and drainage structures.
• Verify works against drawings, specs, ITPs and project requirements.
• Review contractor shop drawings and technical submissions.
• Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, authorities, stakeholders and other disciplines.
• Monitor testing/inspections for wet utilities and approvals.
• Identify issues and coordinate corrective actions with project team.
• Manage interfaces between wet utilities and roads, structures, electrical, telecom, landscaping.
• Assess site conditions and provide technical recommendations.
