Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Wet Utilities Inspector to join our infrastructure project team. The successful candidate will inspect stormwater drainage, sewer, potable water, and irrigation networks, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and project quality requirements.

You will review IRs, shop drawings, and material approvals, coordinate with engineers and contractors, maintain inspection records, and support testing, commissioning and handover of wet utilities networks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in wet utilities inspection on infrastructure projects.
• Good knowledge of stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation networks.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
• UAE infrastructure project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wet utilities construction works including stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
• Inspect installation of pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, chambers, valves and fittings.
• Verify pipeline alignment, levels, bedding, jointing and installation per drawings and specs.
• Monitor excavation, dewatering, pipe laying, backfilling and compaction.
• Monitor tests such as pressure, leakage and CCTV in accordance with project specs.
• Review IRs, method statements, shop drawings and material approvals.
• Maintain inspection records, daily and testing reports, and quality documentation.
