Job summary

AECOM Abu Dhabi is seeking a Wet Utilities Inspector to join our infrastructure project team. You will inspect and monitor wet utilities works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements and project quality requirements.

Key responsibilities include inspecting drainage, sewerage, potable water networks, reviewing IRs and method statements, and coordinating with engineers, contractors and surveyors for safe handover of completed networks.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience inspecting wet utilities on infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and method statements.
• UAE experience on infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wet utilities construction works including stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water and irrigation networks.
• Inspect installation of pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, chambers, valves and fittings.
• Verify pipeline alignment, levels, gradients, bedding, jointing and installation per drawings.
• Monitor excavation, shoring, dewatering, pipe laying, backfilling and compaction.
• Review IRs, method statements, shop drawings and material approvals.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation and coordinate with Resident Engineer and Contractor.
