Job summary

The Cigna Group seeks an Underwriter in Dubai to join the Middle East Underwriting team. You will assess risks, price plans for SME and corporate clients, and work with sales, brokers and clients to implement actions that support profitable growth.

You will analyze renewal portfolios, monitor trends, and coordinate with finance, actuarial and operations to ensure compliant, competitive pricing.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering or closely related field.
Up to 5 years’ working experience.
Passion for analytics with proven experience.
Knowledge of the health insurance industry preferable.
Pursuit of professional qualifications or continued development viewed favorably.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, price and build insurance plans for SME and Large corporations in line with organizational and market strategy.
In-depth analysis and pricing of renewal portfolio, coordinating with sales, brokers and clients.
Manage portfolio of accounts balancing long-term profitability, persistency and growth.
Conduct analytical reviews to identify trends and insights used to manage the portfolio.
Collaborate with sales, client management, operations and actuarial to ensure pricing effectiveness.
Investigate any non-compliance of benefit adjudication and liaise with managers to ensure compliance.
Provide clear instructions on risk exposure and market awareness to win and retain business.
Deliver UW metrics to the Underwriting Manager in a timely manner.
