Job summary

The Bussola Group in Dubai is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of equipment and back-of-house areas, ensuring readiness for service.

You will wash, sanitize, and store items, support deliveries, and follow safety protocols; no formal qualification required, but basic English and health certificates preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic education; no formal qualification required.
• Previous stewarding or cleaning experience in a kitchen is an advantage.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate and UAE Occupational Health Card.
• Basic English for instructions and safety signs.
• Physically fit; able to lift, stand and work in a hot, wet environment on rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, crockery and glassware by hand and dishwasher.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and monitor wash/rinse temperatures and chemical levels.
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, drains, hoods, fridges and storage areas per cleaning schedule.
• Remove and segregate waste and recyclables; keep bin areas clean.
• Store clean equipment in designated areas and report breakages and shortages.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following labels and safety data sheets.
• Help kitchen staff with deliveries and basic prep when needed.
