Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks a Senior Technical Account Manager for the Telco vertical to act as the principal technical advisor to enterprise customers.

This TAM will guide customers through incidents, trade-offs, and risk management across AWS services, including EC2, S3, and databases, with travel up to 10%. The role emphasizes customer obsession and collaboration with multiple AWS teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
• Experience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cloud based architecture, cloud services and customer-facing roles.
• Experience in three or more areas: software design, CDN, scripting/automation, database architecture, IP networking, IT security, BigData/Hadoop/Spark, operations management, SOA.

Responsibilities

• Advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
• Develop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges
• Drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
• Proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
• Provide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, detailed pre-launch planning
• Solve problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud
• Uplift customer capabilities by running workshops and sessions
