Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to act as the principal technical advisor and voice of the customer for Enterprise Support. The TAM will guide customers across industries, driving adoption of AWS services and maintaining operational health in environments ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500s.

The role requires strong technical acumen, customer-facing skills, and the ability to travel up to 10%+ as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications.
Knowledge of cloud-based architecture and cloud services.
Strong oral and written communication for customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

Advise on solutions and provide technical guidance for customers.
Ensure AWS environments remain healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
Develop trusting relationships by understanding business and technical needs.
Lead discussions with customers including incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
Consult with partners from developers to C-suite executives.
Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services, and Sales Account Managers.
Proactively identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
Provide detailed reviews of service events and quarterly metrics.
Help customers migrate workloads to the cloud and uplift their capabilities.
