Job summary

Amazon Web Services EMEA Dubai FZ Branch is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to influence enterprise customers to maximize value from AWS. You will craft technical cloud strategies, act as the voice of the customer to AWS product teams, and guide customers through incidents, cost optimization, and risk management across compute, storage, AI/ML, and serverless services.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technical roles involving distributed systems, cloud architecture, software development, infrastructure/platform engineering, Data & Analytics, or AI / ML.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as technical account manager, solutions architect, consultant, or support engineer
• Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting for a combination of the following: compute, storage, networking, databases, AI/ML, containers, DevOps, big data and analytics, security
• Demonstrated ability to drive technical discussions and communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customer
• Ensure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexity
• Develop trusting relationships with customers understanding their business needs and technical challenges
• Using your technical acumen and customer obsession you'll drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs and risk management
• Consult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executives
• Collaborate with AWS Solutions Architects Business Developers Professional Services Consultants and Sales Account Managers
• With a bias for action you'll proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS
• Provide detailed reviews of service disruptions monthly and quarterly metrics detailed pre-launch planning
• Solve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloud
