Job summary

ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi seeks a seasoned Sustainability professional to lead strategy implementation and data-driven reporting. You will develop initiatives, coordinate across functions, and monitor key indicators to drive results and manage risk.

The role requires extensive experience in environmental sustainability within oil & gas, strong communication, and the ability to influence multi-stakeholder groups. A leadership mindset and ethical approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in environmental science, chemistry or engineering.
• 9 years of professional experience in Environmental Sustainability, preferably in oil & gas.
• Knowledge of sustainability concepts and awareness of central issues facing sustainable practices.
• Excellent communication skills to explain environmental issues and to sell ideas and services.
• Understanding of sustainability strategies and management systems.
• Knowledge of international sustainability standards, codes and work practices.
• Strong influencing capabilities in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Ability to work effectively with others and in teams.
• Strong strategic, tactical, and analytical thinking.
• Hands on corporate communication and event management.
• Strong presentation and reporting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, advise on goals and objectives of sustainability.
• Collect and analyse data to baseline progress against metrics.
• Develop sustainability goals, objectives and initiatives for business needs.
• Assess or propose sustainability initiatives considering cost, feasibility and acceptance.
• Monitor indicators such as energy usage, resource use, waste generation and flaring.
• Provide recommendations on sustainability proposals or policies.
• Research regulatory, technical, or market issues related to sustainability.
• Identify or create new sustainability KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste water management.
• Provide support for sustainability programs or projects.
• Identify resources required to implement programs or projects.
• Create or maintain plans related to sustainability projects.
• Develop reports or presentations to communicate effectiveness.
• Ensure internal controls and measurement systems are in place.
• Measure and monitor progress against strategies and targets.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analyses for key metrics.
• Create innovation dashboards to monitor all innovation activities.
• Regularly report to management on the health of sustainability portfolio.
