Job summary

ADNOC Gas is seeking an experienced ESG professional to lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability initiatives aligned with international standards. The role focuses on embedding ESG across operations, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a large gas organization.

The candidate will drive materiality assessments, disclosures, and continuous improvement, working with diverse teams and partners to advance responsible business practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8 years of ESG, sustainability experience in a large organization, ideally in gas/energy.
• Knowledge of global and local ESG standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, GHG Protocol).
• Familiarity with ESG rating methodologies (MSCI, Sustainalytics).
• Strong materiality concepts and materiality assessments experience.
• Knowledge of UAE regulations and best practices in sustainability reporting.
• ESG certifications (e.g., CESGA, GRI) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and rolling out ESG frameworks, policies, and metrics.
• Monitor ESG compliance and support internal audits and reporting.
• Conduct ESG risk assessments and mitigation planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed ESG into decisions.
• Prepare ESG disclosures aligned with global standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD).
• Support stakeholder engagement, community outreach, and advocacy.
• Track ESG trends and recommend improvements in practices.
• Plan materiality, benchmarking, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Implement ESG strategy and report on key indicators.
• Develop guidelines, checklists, and procedures for sustainable practices.
