Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company seeks a Senior Sustainability Specialist to lead implementation of sustainability strategy, monitor metrics, and support reporting across the organization. You will collect data, assess initiatives, and develop KPIs to drive efficiency and reduce risk.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Environmental Science/Engineering and about 9 years in sustainability, preferably in oil and gas, with strong communication, analytical and leadership skills to influence multiple

• Proven capabilities in strategic planning, analytics and reporting.
• Experience in managing sustainability programs, budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize sustainability goals and objectives.
• Collect and analyze data to baseline progress against metrics.
• Develop sustainability project goals and initiatives.
• Assess initiatives for cost effectiveness, feasibility and acceptance.
• Monitor indicators like energy use, resource use, waste and flaring.
• Provide recommendations on sustainability proposals or policies.
• Research regulatory/market issues related to sustainability.
• Identify or create new sustainability KPIs.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste management.
• Support programs with technical or administrative tasks.
• Identify resources required for programs.
• Create or maintain project plans and documents.
• Develop reports/presentations on effectiveness of initiatives.
• Ensure controls and measurement systems are in place.
• Measure progress against strategy and targets.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and summaries of progress.
• Create innovation dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
• Report to management on health of sustainability portfolio.
