Job Summary:
The Senior Site Coordinator will oversee the coordination and execution of multiple construction projects, ensuring that the design intent and quality standards established are maintained throughout the construction process. This role requires a senior-level professional with significant experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead and mentor site coordinators.
The Senior Site Coordinator will serveas the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders (e.g. in-house Design Team) and external parties(e.g. Contractors, Clients), ensuring smooth communication and project execution, and report into the Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the overall performance and coordination of multiple site projects, ensuring theymeet design quality, technical quality, time, and budget expectations.
- Support the Technical Manager to ensure adherence to the company's standards and procedures by allsite coordinators, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Lead the implementation of quality control procedures across multiple sites to ensure design integrityand compliance with the specified design intent.
- Review, and when required supervise other team members, review of Contractors' shop drawings,material submittals, colors, and samples to ensure that they align with design specifications.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections, ensuring that all work complies withstandards,specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the company, contractors, and clients for multiple sites,ensuring clear, professional, and effective communication at all times.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports for Technical Manager, Clients and senior management,highlighting key milestones, potential risks, and project status.
- Facilitate coordination between the in-house Design Team, Project Managers, and Contractors to resolveany on-site issues and ensure alignment with the design vision.
- Assist the Technical Manager in project planning and site scheduling, ensuring efficient utilization ofresources and adherence to project timelines.
- Oversee the sourcing of alternative materials that meet design requirements and project budget,escalating to the in-house Design Team to select materials only when required.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, assessing risks and providing solutions to avoid delaysand budget overruns.
- Lead site inspections to assess the quality of work and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and resolve complex design and construction issues that may arise on-site, working withContractors, Technical Manager and the in-house Design Team to implement solutions.
- Provide strategic direction on-site to address challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the projectschedule.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of all administrative documentation, including monthlyprogress reports, post-contract hourly reports, and snagging lists for project closeout.
- Supervise the final inspection process, working with the Site Manager, Lead Consultant and ProjectManager to prepare comprehensive snagging lists and ensure all punch list items are addressed beforeproject completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in site coordination or project management, with a proven trackrecord of managing multiple high-value construction projects.
- Strong leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams of Site Coordinators or otherprofessionals in the construction industry.
- Extensive experience in quality control, reviewing Contractor deliverables, and ensuring design intent andspecifications are met
- (Preferred by not mandatory) Previous experience in an Interior Design role.
- Advanced project management skills with the ability to handle multiple sites and deadlinessimultaneously.
- Experience in team management and training.
- Excellent communication skills to all external stakeholders (e Contractors, high-net-worth Clients).
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, architectural design, and building materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
- Familiarity with software tools used for project tracking, reporting, and communication.
- Must hold a valid Driving License.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Highly detail-oriented, ensuring all aspects of a project are carefully monitored and executed.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions when needed while collaborating with the broaderteam.
