Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai seeks an experienced interior designer/architect to lead luxury residential, retail, and hospitality projects from concept to handover.

You will develop design concepts, drawings, and presentations, coordinate with clients and contractors, ensure compliance, and oversee site visits and procurement to deliver high-end finishes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design & Architectural Duties
   • Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, space planning layouts, and presentation materials.
   • Prepare architectural and interior design drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
   • Produce 2D and 3D design presentations using industry-standard software.
   • Select and specify finishes, materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
   • Coordinate design development with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
   • Ensure compliance with local building regulations, codes, and project requirements.
   • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather project information and monitor design implementation.
   • Review shop drawings, material submissions, and technical documentation.
2. Project Coordination Duties
   • Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities and milestones.
   • Coordinate communication between clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
   • Track project timelines, deliverables, and approvals.
   • Prepare project reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
   • Monitor project budgets and procurement schedules.
   • Follow up on outstanding actions and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
   • Support tendering, procurement, and contractor coordination activities.
   • Assist with project documentation, filing, and record management.
3. Client and Stakeholder Management
   • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and design workshops.
   • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients and project stakeholders.
   • Present design proposals confidently and professionally.
   • Manage client expectations and ensure timely communication throughout project lifecycles.
4. Site Coordination & Execution
   • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works are executed according to approved designs and specifications.
   • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to address design and construction issues.
   • Verify quality of workmanship and material installations.
   • Monitor project progress and report any delays, risks, or variations.
   • Assist in snagging, punch-list preparation, and project handover

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field.
• Professional certifications or memberships are advantageous.

Project Experience

• 7-10 years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, and project coordination.
• Proven experience with luxury residential, retail, mixed-use development projects, master planning developments and large scale projects
• Additional experience in hospitality and commercial interior projects is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated involvement in projects from concept design through construction and handover.
• Strong knowledge of luxury materials, bespoke joinery, custom furniture, and high-end finishes.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, or similar design software.
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with project management tools and scheduling software is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and interior fit-out processes.
