Job summary

Compass Project Consulting in Abu Dhabi seeks a Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial and cost management across civil, building and MEP works on refurbishment and new-build projects. You will prepare, review and manage quantities, valuations, variations, claims and cost reports.

Applicants should have 3+ years UAE experience and a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management; MRICS preferred but not required. Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to commute daily.

Qualifications

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years UAE experience in construction and refurbishment projects.
• Strong experience in quantity surveying and cost management across civil/building and MEP.
• Abu Dhabi residents preferred; commuting to Abu Dhabi daily if based elsewhere.
• MRICS is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and quantity surveying aspects across the project lifecycle.
• Provide cost management support for civil/building and MEP works.
• Prepare, review, and manage quantities, valuations, variations, and cost reports.
• Monitor project costs and commercial performance against the budget.
• Review contractor submissions, measurements, payments, and documentation.
• Support assessment and management of variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and site teams for accurate commercial management.
• Provide commercial advice and identify cost and contractual risks.
