Job summary

Compass Project Consulting in Dubai seeks a senior Quantity Surveyor to drive pre-contract cost management for major building projects. You will lead cost planning, estimating, pricing and BOQ prep, while reviewing tenders and providing UAE market-based cost analyses.

The role requires extensive QA/QC of cost plans, BOQs, and tender documentation, with strong ability to challenge cost data and report clearly to stakeholders. On-site Dubai-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.
• 10+ years pre-contract experience.
• Extensive UAE project experience with local market knowledge.
• MEP cost management and pricing across major buildings.
• Experience with reputable PMC and Cost Consultancy firms.
• Strong QA/QC for cost plans, BOQs, estimates and tenders.
• Excellent analytical, communication, coordination and reporting skills.

• Prepare and review tender documentation, evaluate tenders, and provide cost analysis.
• Manage MEP cost planning and pricing for major building and development projects.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of cost deliverables through QA/QC procedures and internal peer reviews.
• Independently review and challenge cost information to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Provide cost management advice based on UAE market rates, contractor pricing, supplier costs, and procurement practices.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders and prepare clear cost reports and technical recommendations.

Qualification

• Minimum 15 years of overall Quantity Surveying / Cost Management experience.
• At least 10 years of strong pre-contract experience.
• Extensive UAE project experience with strong knowledge of local market rates and procurement practices.
• Proven expertise in MEP cost management and pricing across major building and development projects.
• Previous experience with reputable PMC and Cost Consultancy firms.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures for cost plans, BOQs, estimates, and tender documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
