Senior Program Manager – Seller Fees in Dubai is responsible for shaping the economic conditions that support Selling Partner growth and Amazon marketplace performance across MENA. The role develops fee strategies, assesses proposed pricing changes, evaluates commercial trade‑offs, and improves the processes used to implement and monitor seller fees. Working closely with Business, Finance, Operations, Legal, Technology, and global fee teams, the manager uses data to recommend fee structures that improve seller clarity, marketplace competitiveness, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for seller fee programs across Amazon MENA marketplaces.
- Establish economic frameworks for assessing proposed changes to referral fees, service charges, and other seller‑related pricing structures.
- Evaluate the size, timing, commercial impact, and seller implications of potential fee modifications.
- Compare alternative fee scenarios and communicate the associated seller, customer, financial, and operational trade‑offs.
- Prioritize initiatives based on expected business impact, seller experience, implementation complexity, and strategic importance.
- Analyze business problems at their root and assess the wider marketplace context before recommending action.
- Use seller data, financial information, market trends, and operational metrics to develop evidence‑based recommendations.
- Identify patterns in seller behavior, marketplace participation, product selection, and fee‑related performance.
- Apply statistical discipline when assessing trends and presenting conclusions.
- Develop clear reports that highlight important insights, emerging risks, and commercially relevant storylines.
- Partner with Business, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Technology teams to understand requirements, concerns, and upcoming priorities.
- Ensure fee strategy and execution remain aligned with broader marketplace and regional business objectives.
- Build agreement among cross‑functional teams when stakeholder priorities or commercial interests differ.
- Collaborate with fee teams across other Amazon marketplaces to exchange learning and compare effective practices.
- Contribute to the creation of common fee‑setting frameworks, governance mechanisms, and analytical standards.
- Own or influence roadmap strategy and define the sequence of fee‑related initiatives.
- Develop business assessments for proposed fee changes, including commercial rationale, seller impact, risks, and implementation requirements.
- Coordinate the execution of approved fee changes with product, technology, finance, legal, and operational stakeholders.
- Improve mechanisms for validating, monitoring, and auditing fee implementation.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies that could cause incorrect charges, seller confusion, or operational risk.
- Simplify fee‑setting processes and reduce unnecessary manual work, duplicated analysis, and execution delays.
- Improve the clarity of seller communications, supporting documentation, and fee‑related guidance.
- Identify opportunities to automate business assessments, monitoring, reporting, and audit activities.
- Prepare detailed strategy documents, decision papers, executive summaries, and program updates.
- Present recommendations, performance findings, and strategic trade‑offs during periodic leadership reviews.
- Influence senior leaders through clear analysis, sound judgment, and practical recommendations.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, technology, analytics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in product management, program management, product marketing, business development, technology, or a comparable strategic role.
- Demonstrated experience owning or influencing roadmap strategy and program definition.
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership using data‑driven insights.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex economic and commercial issues.
- Experience developing business frameworks, financial models, pricing strategies, or marketplace policies is advantageous.
- Ability to understand how commercial decisions affect sellers, customers, and overall business performance.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to evaluate competing priorities and difficult trade‑offs.
- Experience working across functional teams and coordinating senior stakeholders.
