Job summary

TOP ROCK INTERIORS LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced Lead HVAC & MEP Site Engineer to oversee interior fit-out installations. You will supervise ducting, piping, ventilation, and related systems, ensuring coordination with electrical, plumbing, and finishing trades.

You will drive site progress, QA/QC, and handover readiness while aligning with UAE regulations. You will review drawings, submittals, and method statements, resolve technical clashes, and manage RFIs and site reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of MEP experience, UAE interior fit-out is essential.
• Strong HVAC specialization and proven site execution skills.
• Experience coordinating HVAC with electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, and finishes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC and MEP installation activities for interior fit-out projects across Dubai and other UAE locations.
• Review HVAC shop drawings, coordinated drawings, submittals, specs, and method statements.
• Coordinate HVAC ducting, chilled-water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation, exhaust, and related equipment installations.
• Ensure HVAC works are coordinated with electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ceiling, joinery, and architectural finishes.
• Monitor site progress, workmanship, productivity, and material requirements to meet project schedules and handover deadlines.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure installations comply with drawings, specs, UAE regulations, and authority requirements.
• Identify site clashes and discrepancies, propose practical solutions, and coordinate corrective actions.
• Prepare and review RFIs, inspection requests, material requests, site reports related to MEP works.
• Supervise HVAC testing, balancing, testing and commissioning, snagging, and final handover.
• Monitor installation quality and timely closure of consultant comments and snags.
• Support material planning, subcontractor coordination, progress monitoring, and cost-conscious execution.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and company quality procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• 7–10 years of relevant MEP experience, with substantial hands-on experience in UAE interior fit-out projects.

• Strong specialization in HVAC systems and site execution.

• Proven experience in commercial interior fit-out, retail, hospitality, restaurant/F&B, or similar projects.

• Good knowledge of HVAC ducting, chilled-water systems, ventilation, exhaust, fresh-air systems, and associated equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, coordinated MEP drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.

• Experience coordinating HVAC works with electrical, plumbing, fire-fighting, ceiling, and interior finishing trades.

• Familiarity with UAE project approval and inspection processes, including relevant authority requirements such as Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and other applicable authorities.

• Experience with HVAC testing and commissioning, inspections, snagging, and project handover.

• Strong communication, coordination, troubleshooting, and site-management skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant MEP coordination tools is an advantage.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight project deadlines.
