Job summary

A leading MEP contractor in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced individual to lead and manage overall site operations for HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in MEP construction, particularly in HVAC systems, and hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills are essential. The role entails overseeing site activities, coordinating with teams, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This is a full-time contract position without remote work options.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in MEP construction, with minimum 5 years in a managerial/site leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience in HVAC systems including District Cooling and Chilled Water Systems.
• Good knowledge of UAE authority regulations and standards.
• Experience in high-rise commercial, hospital or industrial projects preferred.

• Proficiency in MS Office and project planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall MEP site operations particularly HVAC works.
• Plan and supervise installation of HVAC systems and controls.
• Ensure proper site mobilization, logistics planning, and equipment deployment.
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure implementation of HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks and maintain safe working conditions.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, shop drawings and material submittals.
• Monitor project schedule and ensure milestones are achieved as per approved program.
• Manage subcontractor performance, work quality and timely completion.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of HVAC systems and ensure smooth project handover.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and local authorities for inspections and approvals.
• Maintain site documentation, daily progress reports and cost control records.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and overall site discipline.

• Coordinate with civil, structural and architectural teams to avoid clashes and delays.
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
• Ensure implementation of HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks and maintain safe working conditions.
