Job summary

Shalom Technical services LLC in the UAE is seeking an experienced Mechanical MEP Project Manager to plan, manage, and execute projects from mobilization to handover. You will review drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract requirements while coordinating with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.

The role covers HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical works, with emphasis on schedules, budgets, QA/QC, safety, and successful project handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical/MEP project management.
• Strong UAE/GCC building construction and MEP project experience.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, firefighting systems.
• Knowledge of MEP drawings, BOQ, method statements, submittals.

Job description

Plan, manage, and execute mechanical MEP projects from mobilization to completion and handover.Review project drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, and contract requirements.Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other MEP disciplines.Manage HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical works as applicable to the project.Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower requirements, material procurement, and resource allocation.Supervise site activities and ensure all works are completed according to approved drawings and specifications.Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within the approved schedule and budget.Coordinate with the engineering and site teams to resolve technical and construction issues.Ensure all mechanical installations comply with UAE regulations, project specifications, and applicable international standards.Conduct regular site inspections and ensure quality control requirements are maintained.Coordinate testing and commissioning of mechanical systems and ensure successful project handover.Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality of work.Prepare progress reports, site reports, and other project documentation.Manage project variations, material requirements, and cost-related matters.Identify project risks and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.Ensure proper coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and structural works.Lead and motivate engineers, supervisors, foremen, and technicians to achieve project targets.Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and company safety policies at the project site.Attend project meetings and provide regular updates to management, consultants, and clients.Ensure all project documentation, as-built drawings, testing records, O&M manuals, and handover documents are completed.Preferred UAE experience: Candidates with UAE MEP construction experience and strong knowledge of HVAC/mechanical systems, project coordination, site management, and consultant/main-contractor requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 5–15 years of relevant experience in mechanical/MEP project management. Strong UAE/GCC experience in building construction and MEP projects preferred. Proven experience managing HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of MEP drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements, material submittals, and project documentation. Experience coordinating with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, manpower management, procurement, and cost control. Good knowledge of UAE authority requirements, applicable codes, and HSE standards. Ability to lead and manage site engineers, supervisors, foremen, and technicians. Strong problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple activities and deliver projects on time and within budget. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project planning software such as Primavera/MS Project is preferred. UAE driving license is an advantage. Candidates who are currently available in the UAE are preferred.
