Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an MEP Engineer to plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on construction projects in the UAE. You will ensure installations meet drawings, specs, safety and schedules.

Responsibilities include coordinating MEP activities, supervising subcontractors, reviewing submittals, and maintaining documentation while ensuring compliance with UAE regulations and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
• Experience in MEP construction/projects.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting and building services.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination/BIM software is an advantage.
• Strong engineering drawing and documentation knowledge.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• UAE/GCC project experience preferred.

Job Summary:
The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works on construction projects. The role ensures that MEP installations are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and firefighting works.

• Supervise MEP subcontractors, technicians, and site activities.

• Ensure MEP installations are carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.

• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other engineering teams to avoid site clashes.

• Monitor project progress and ensure works are completed within the agreed schedule.

• Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues.

• Prepare and review material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.

• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.

• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, applicable standards, and project requirements.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and clients regarding MEP-related matters.

• Prepare progress reports and maintain proper project documentation.

• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with procurement teams.

• Ensure all MEP works comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.

• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide appropriate engineering solutions.

• Assist in preparing project estimates, quantities, and technical proposals when required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.

• Relevant experience in MEP construction/projects.

• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and building services.

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.

• Knowledge of MEP coordination/BIM software is an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

5. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.

6. Experience in site supervision, MEP coordination, testing, and commissioning.

7. Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering teams.

8. Knowledge of applicable UAE/GCC standards, regulations, and HSE requirements.

9. Strong problem-solving and technical skills.

10. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under project deadlines.

12. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

13. UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
