TOP ROCK INTERIORS LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to lead interior fit-out projects. You will perform cooling load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/piping sizing, and develop layouts and technical details across FCUs, AHUs, ventilation and exhaust systems.
Coordinate with ID, architectural, electrical, plumbing and fire fighting teams, review drawings, and prepare submittals, calculations and final documentation. UAE experience and AutoCAD proficiency required.
Design and develop HVAC systems for interior fit-out projects in accordance with project requirements specifications and applicable standards Perform HVAC cooling load calculations equipment selection duct sizing pipe sizing and ventilation calculations Prepare and review HVAC design drawings layouts schematics and technical details Develop HVAC layouts for FCUs AHUs ducting chilled water piping fresh air exhaust and ventilation systems Coordinate HVAC designs with Interior Design Architectural Electrical Plumbing Fire Fighting and other MEP disciplines Review project drawings specifications BOQs and design requirements to identify technical requirements and potential design issues Conduct design reviews and identify clashes constructability issues and coordination requirements before site execution Prepare and review HVAC shop drawings technical submissions material submittals method statements and calculations Coordinate with consultants clients suppliers subcontractors and internal project teams for technical approvals Respond to consultant client comments and ensure timely incorporation of design revisions Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and ensure design intent is properly implemented Provide technical support to Project Engineers and Site teams during installation and resolve HVAC design-related issues Review HVAC installations and ensure they comply with approved drawings specifications and design requirements Assist in testing commissioning balancing and final handover of HVAC systems Prepare and review as-built drawings and final technical documentation Identify opportunities for value engineering and energy-efficient HVAC solutions without compromising project requirements Ensure all HVAC designs comply with relevant UAE regulations authority requirements project specifications and consultant standards
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 4–8 years of UAE experience in HVAC Design, preferably within Interior Fit-Out / MEP Fit-Out companies. UAE Interior Fit-Out experience is highly preferred; candidates from pure building/maintenance backgrounds may not be suitable. Strong knowledge of HVAC design, cooling load calculations, duct design, chilled water systems, ventilation, fresh air, and exhaust systems. Hands-on experience with HVAC design calculations, equipment selection, duct/pipe sizing, and system layouts. Strong understanding of coordination between HVAC and ID, Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting services. Experience preparing and reviewing shop drawings, technical submissions, material submittals, calculations, and consultant approvals. Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of Revit MEP and HVAC design software is an added advantage. Familiarity with relevant UAE authority requirements, international HVAC standards, and consultant specifications. Experience with commercial, retail, hospitality, F&B, office, or high-end interior fit-out projects is preferred. Strong technical, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and project teams. Ability to manage multiple design requirements and meet project deadlines. UAE Driving License is an added advantage. Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice will be preferred.
