Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety Health and Environment Advisor - Site Compliance to lead HSE efforts on Abu Dhabi Emirate construction sites. The role requires 7+ years of experience, strong knowledge of UAE regulations, and ability to perform risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.

The successful candidate will guide project teams, deliver safety training, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed HSE considerations into daily construction activities across active sites in the UAE.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in safety, health and environment roles with site supervision responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC safety regulations and ISO 45001.
• Preferred professional certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and compliance gaps.
• Perform safety audits and document findings with closure actions.
• Develop site-specific safety procedures aligned with project risks.
• Monitor construction activities for UAE occupational health and safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents using structured root cause analysis and prepare reports.
• Deliver safety briefings and training for workforce and contractors.
• Track corrective actions and verify effectiveness of mitigations.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
