Job summary

AECOM is seeking a SH&E Advisor in Abu Dhabi to identify and monitor SH&E requirements across projects, ensuring alignment with local regulations and company standards. The role involves field presence, contractor oversight, and daily reporting to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

You will work under supervision across ES&H disciplines, supporting development and maintenance of safety programs, and mitigating health risks on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Diploma or Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety; NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent for related engineering fields.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the field/project point of contact for SH&E-related matters.
• Identify project and legislative SH&E requirements and ensure stakeholder compliance.
• Conduct daily inspections of contractor activities to ensure adherence to SH&E policies and obligations.
• Prepare daily visual inspection reports and follow up on close-outs within established timeframes.
• Work under supervision across ES&H disciplines to maintain compliance with ES&H standards and regulations.
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs and procedures.
• Monitor and mitigate hazards and health risks present in the work environment.
• Investigate accidents, injuries and complaints related to workplace hazards.

Education

Diploma or Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety
