Job summary

AECOM in Dubai invites an experienced Advisor - Safety Health and Environment to lead site safety, health and environmental performance across construction operations. You will conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments, interfacing with project managers, contractors and authorities to ensure compliant and safe delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in SHE roles, a strong knowledge of UAE regulations, ISO 45001 familiarity, and hands-on experience with safety

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of professional experience in safety, health, and environment roles involving site supervision.
Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC occupational health and safety legislation and compliance.
Experience conducting site inspections, formal audits, incident investigations, and hazard assessments.
Hands-on knowledge of safety management systems and structured risk management processes.

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled and unannounced site inspections to identify unsafe conditions, hazardous activities, and compliance gaps.
Perform detailed SHE audits and track findings through corrective action and verified closure.
Develop and implement site-specific safety procedures, inspection programs, controls, and improvement initiatives.
Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences using structured root cause analysis.
Coordinate with project management teams to integrate SHE requirements into daily construction planning and execution.
