9E Global is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer – Site in the UAE to lead on-site electrical works in aircraft hangars, workshops and logistics facilities. You will supervise contractors, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 12–15 years of on-site experience, a degree in Electrical Engineering (master's/chartered status preferred), and experience in Middle East projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience on site and in engineering consultancy firms.
  • Qualified graduate engineer in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's degree/Chartered status is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Middle East projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience in airport/aviation or complex infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site supervision of electrical works across hangars, workshops, logistics areas and related facilities.
  • Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, load schedules and single-line diagrams.
  • Attend contractor inspections and identify non-compliant work for corrective actions.
  • Monitor project progress, verify payments, conduct site walks and coordinate with QS and contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance to resolve on-site electrical issues and ensure safety compliance.
  • Lead project delivery with timely material coordination and adherence to timelines.

Job description

9E Global is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer – Site to join our growing team in the UAE.

The candidate should be experienced in supervising electrical contractors and subcontractors, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting site inspections, monitoring quality and progress, overseeing testing and commissioning activities, resolving site issues, and supporting the successful completion and handover of the facility to the client.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and site supervision across electrical systems, including installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, and coordination of electrical works. The role will involve reviewing drawings and technical submissions, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, applicable codes and standards, safety requirements, and project objectives, while coordinating closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

Business Development
  • Support in winning business and developing new clients, while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
  • Be an ambassador for the Company.
  • Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.
Project Role
  • Lead the on-site supervision of logistics, and electrical works across aircraft hangars, maintenance bays, workshops, warehouses, logistics areas, plant rooms, operational buildings, and associated external works.
  • Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, load schedules, voltage drop calculations, and single-line diagrams.
  • Attend and act on contractor inspection requests (WIR, MIR) and identify non-compliant work for corrective actions.
  • Monitor project progress, verify payments, conduct site walks, and coordinate with QS, commercial teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to resolve on-site electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations and specifications.
  • Lead project delivery, ensuring timely material coordination, quality assurance, and adherence to timelines and standards.
  • Review electrical shop drawings, coordination drawings, material submittals, equipment schedules, method statements, inspection and test plans, RFIs, technical deviations, and commissioning procedures for compliance with the contract and approved design.
  • Monitor contractor resources and progress against the approved programme, identify interface constraints and delays, assess proposed recovery measures, and maintain accurate supervision records to support progress, change, and claims reviews.

  • Be aware of the design philosophy and engineering principals for the project. Receive a comprehensive briefing from the project engineer before starting on site.
  • Have an understanding of the buildability aspects and construction techniques applicable for the project.
  • Carry out a cross reference check of all documents including specifications and drawings and bar bending schedules (if applicable).
  • Keep a continuing review of the temporary and permanent stability of the building as it is constructed.
  • Assist the design team with the co ordination of the engineering particularly when it applies to site matters.
QHSE Responsibilities
  • Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
  • Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
  • Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
  • Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
  • Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
