Qualifications
Qualified graduate engineer in Mechanical/ Building Services Engineering.Masters Degree/Chartered Engineering status is a plus.
Minimum 12-15years of experience on site and in engineering consultancy firms.
Experience in Middle East projects will behighly preferred.
Business Development
Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.
ProjectRole
- The candidate should have strong site experience in major aviation, aircraft hangar, industrial, or logistics projects, with experience in contractor supervision, coordination, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Supervise construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of MHS and mechanical systems, including HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, compressed air, and specialist utilities.
- Oversee elevators, escalators, moving walkways, cranes, and lifting systems, including safety, testing, certification, and statutory compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, testing, quality checks, and commissioning activities, ensuring proper documentation and closure of deficiencies.
- Coordinate interfaces between MHS/mechanical systems and hangar doors, cranes, aircraft systems, electrical, BMS, fire alarm, civil/structural, and architectural works.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and commissioning procedures.
- Monitor contractor resources, progress, productivity, delays, risks, and recovery plans against the project programme.
- Identify and manage NCRs, defects, punch-list items, and corrective actions through to closure.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, aviation safety, permits, risk assessments, lifting, work-at-height, and confined-space requirements.
- Lead/participate in site, progress, quality, safety, and commissioning meetings and follow up technical actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports covering progress, quality, safety, resources, risks, and technical issues.
- Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, asset data, training, warranties, test records, and handover documentation.
- Provide technical advice to the Client and design team and support changes, claims, and practical solutions to protect safety, quality, cost, and programme.
- Role will normally be asProject Engineer on projects of various sizes.On major/more complex projects could take the role of a Design Engineer.
- Be responsible for deliveringwork to a fee agreed with a Project Manager.

- Applying policies relating tohealth & safety, quality and training
- Be aware of the design philosophy and engineering principals for the project. Receive a comprehensive briefing from the project engineer before starting on site.
- Have an understanding of the buildability aspects and construction techniques applicable for the project.
- Carry out a cross reference check of all documents including specifications and drawings and bar bending schedules (if applicable).
- Keep a continuing review of the temporary and permanent stability of the building as it is constructed.
- Assist the design team with the co ordination of the engineering particularly when it applies to site matters.
QHSE Responsibilities
- Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
- Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
- Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
- Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
- Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
