Job summary

9E Global is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector – Site to join our UAE team in Dubai. The role will inspect and monitor electrical works on site, ensuring installations comply with drawings, specifications, codes, standards and project requirements.

You will work with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, safety and compliance throughout construction, including testing, commissioning support and verification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.
• Experience in site inspections and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Review project documents, drawings, specifications and health and safety requirements, including revisions/updates.
• Monitor Contractor works for compliance with project specs and contract requirements through site observations, inspections and testing.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, plant and equipment on site.
• Carry out inspections and site supervision as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Senior Engineer.
• Record and document site activities including personnel, equipment, nature and location of works, and construction methods.
• Monitor delivery of materials and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Implement and follow site instructions and quality management procedures.
• Verify executed works meet quality standards and project codes through regular inspections.
• Witness and inspect testing and commissioning works as per project specifications.

9E Global is looking for an experienced Electrical Inspector – Site to join our growing team in the UAE.

The role will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring electrical works on site, ensuring that installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for site inspections, quality checks, testing, commissioning support, and verification of electrical installations, including reviewing materials, workmanship, equipment installation, cable works, containment, earthing, lighting, power systems, and other electrical services. The role will also involve identifying non-conformities, following up on corrective actions, maintaining inspection records, and supporting the successful completion and handover of the project.

Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree in Electrical/building services Engineering.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction supervision with a consultancy.

Business Development

• Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

Project Role

• Review and familiarize with the project contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and relevant health and safety requirements, along with any subsequent revisions or updates.
• Monitor the Contractor’s works to ensure compliance with the project specifications and contract requirements through site observations, measurements, inspections, and testing, while tracking the progress of quality assurance activities.
• Maintain daily records of the Contractor’s deployed manpower, plant, and equipment on site.
• Carry out inspections and site supervision activities as directed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Senior Engineer.
• Record and document site activities within the assigned inspection areas, including the Contractor’s personnel, equipment used, nature and location of works, reasons for activities, and the construction methods adopted.
• Monitor the delivery of construction materials and report accordingly, ensuring that materials used on site comply with project requirements.
• Implement and follow all site instructions issued by the Engineer and ensure adherence to the established quality management procedures.
• Verify that the executed works comply with the specified quality standards, performance requirements, and applicable codes through regular inspections.
• Witness and inspect the testing and commissioning works as per Project specification

• Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.

• Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
